Bartlett, Tn -The Bartlett Lady Panthers wrapped up successful regular season this week with a 28-8 mark. Through the ups and downs of a long season these Panthers never lost sight of their goal of a state tournament run and, with the first step of the 14-AAA Tournament looming, the team is now ready to try and make that goal a reality.
After their district win against Cordova back on Sept. 22nd, Bartlett welcomed DeSoto Central to the Farley notching a victory versus the Lady Jaguars 3-1 (20-25, 21-25, 25-20, 18-25)
Next came the Back to the Boro Invitational which saw the Lady Panthers travel to middle Tennessee for one final out of town test prior to postseason. On Friday, Sept. 25th Bartlett bested Smyrna 2-0 (10-25, 17-25) before losing to Franklin 2-0 (28-30, 19-25).
The next day Bartlett got back to their winning ways against Page High School out of Franklin, Tn with a 2-1 win (22-25, 25-22, 15-9) but would drop a game to Farragut (25-16, 25-12). The Lady Panthers moved into the gold bracket of the tournament defeating Lafayette from Lexington, KY 2-0 (18-15, 14-25) and would ultimately finish out the tournament with a loss in the quarter-finals to James Clemens from Madison, AL 2-0 (25-14, 25-15)
The Lady Panthers returned to Bartlett Sept, 29th for the home finale earning a hard fought win over visiting Collierville 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-16). They finished the regular season on the road with a loss to St. George’s (8-25, 18-25, 12-25)
Bartlett will next compete in the District 14-AAA Tournament which begins Oct. 6th. Game times TBA
